QB Russell Wilson is back to lead the charge again in 2021 along with his talented receiving duo of D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, both of whom went over 1,000 yards last season. The running game is a question mark with Chris Carson leading the backfield with just 641 yards last season in 12 games. Seattle will need more balance on offense to keep up, even though the defense should be much improved.
Seattle Seahawks Odds to Win the Super Bowl
There is enough optimism around the Seahawks entering this season that they have Super Bowl odds of +2300 in the preseason. Seattle is the ninth choice in the league, but fifth choice among NFC teams with a pair of division rivals ahead of them. The Seahawks are also the fifth choice to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl with +1100 odds on winning the NFC Championship Game.
Betting Seattle Seahawks Futures
The Seahawks have division odds of +270 despite boasting one of the better passing offenses in the league. There are some questions about the defense, which lacked a significant pass rush from the front seven, but a full season with Carlos Dunlap should help alleviate those concerns.
The Seahawks have arguably the most undervalued MVP candidate in quarterback Russell Wilson. The signal-caller opens the preseason with MVP odds of +2000, which makes him the eighth choice in the league. With an improved offensive line, Wilson should again be among the elite passers in the league, and he has two standout receivers who will help him.
On the other side of the ball, the Seahawks don’t have many standout defenders, but this should be a much-improved unit at least. Bobby Wagner leads the defense at linebacker and is the favorite among Seattle players to be named Defensive Player of the Year with +3800 odds. Another likely contender is Jamal Adams, who had 9.5 sacks last year in his first season with the Seahawks. The safety has +9000 odds to be Defensive Player of the Year, which he could easily achieve if he is able to post double-digit sacks.
