The Denver Broncos’ 2020 season was derailed before it really even began. Early injuries to Von Miller and Courtland Sutton were tough blows on both offense and defense. Denver was able to trudge to a five-win campaign while giving fans a brief glimpse into the future of this team when fully healthy.
Now that the Broncos are expected to be healthy this season, there is far more optimism around the team. Denver also went out and traded for Teddy Bridgewater to give them a reliable veteran to pilot the offense. Bridgewater will have plenty of weapons to work with, particularly with Sutton healthy and joining Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick at receiver alongside tight end Noah Fant and running back Melvin Gordon.
Denver Broncos Odds to Win the Super Bowl
The Broncos are certainly a much better team with Von Miller and Courtland Sutton healthy, and their Super Bowl odds reflect this. Denver is listed at +3000 alongside teams like Miami, which almost made the playoffs last year, and New Orleans, which did play in the postseason.
Betting Denver Broncos Futures
For as much talent is on Denver’s roster, there aren't any frontrunners for any of the individual awards this season. Most of the Broncos’ candidates are on defense with a trio of solid underdogs to be named the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year. Bradley Chubb has the shortest odds of the Broncos defenders at +4500, followed by Von Miller at +5500 and Justin Simmons at +9000.
The Broncos might earn some individual recognition with Patrick Surtain II, the team’s first-round pick. Surtain is listed at +1100 to be named the Defensive Rookie of the Year, a difficult task for any cornerback. However, two of the last six winners of the award were cornerbacks, so Surtain is deservedly one of the favorites to take home the hardware.
